Toshiba, Renesas, NEC, Fujitsu to Standardize 32nm Chips
February 16, 2007
Following their previous collaboration on 45nm chips in 2006, Toshiba, Renesas, NEC, and Fujitsu are seeking to standardize the circuit design and specifications of their next-generation 32nm chips. The alliance of four major Japanese semiconductor makers, backed by Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, is expected to enter a final agreement in March 2007, aiming to implement the standard specifications in 2009.
